Email notifications

Configure, verify, and operate Email notifications in the official Drecha plugin manual.

What this feature does

Admin alerts and respondent confirmations run after a submission is stored. A friendly inbox check unlocks new notification switches only after delivery is confirmed. Drecha Forms remains compatible with established SMTP plugins and records acceptance accurately.

Key capabilities

  • Flexible messages — Configure multiple recipients, Reply-To, field placeholders, and separate HTML and plain-text content.
  • Honest delivery status — A successful wp_mail() call is recorded as accepted for sending—not falsely described as delivered.
  • Queue-backed reliability — Entry persistence never depends on email success. Idempotent jobs and bounded retries reduce accidental duplicate messages.
  • Verified before activation — Prepare templates at any time, then open a one-hour inbox confirmation link before enabling a new notification.

Configure Email notifications

  1. Add a notification. Choose an administrator alert or respondent confirmation.
  2. Set recipients and Reply-To. Use validated addresses and supported field placeholders.
  3. Write both message formats. Create a readable HTML version and a useful plain-text fallback.
  4. Verify inbox delivery. Configure one WordPress mail plugin if needed, send the verification email, and open its one-hour confirmation link.

Verify the result

Open the relevant public page in a private browser window and complete the workflow once. Confirm the saved result in WordPress, test keyboard navigation, and repeat the critical path at a mobile width before sharing it with customers.
