Choose a starting point

Drecha Forms Free includes unlimited forms and four editable templates: Contact form, Registration, Customer feedback, and Multi-step project brief. A template is only a starting point; it does not lock its fields or settings.

To start from a template:

  1. Open Drecha Forms > Templates.
  2. Review the field count and description for each template.
  3. Select Use this template.
  4. Open the new draft in the form builder.

To start without preset fields:

  1. Open Drecha Forms > Forms.
  2. Find Create a blank form.
  3. Enter a descriptive title.
  4. Select Create form.

New forms and template copies start as Draft, so visitors cannot submit them before you are ready.

Learn the builder workspace

The builder has a field library, a live canvas, and a settings panel. Search the library when you know a field name, or browse Essentials, Choices, Date & time, Advanced, and Structure.

  1. Click a field in the library to add it to the end of the form, or drag it to the canvas.
  2. Select a field card to open its settings.
  3. Drag a selected field to a new position.
  4. Use Alt+Up Arrow or Alt+Down Arrow while a field is focused to reorder it without a mouse.
  5. Use Duplicate field to create a copy immediately after the original.
  6. Use Delete field to remove it.

Deleting a field also removes visibility, conditional-required, and form-validation rules that directly target it. A calculation that mentions the deleted field key must be corrected before the form can save.

Edit safely

Change the form title and Status in the top toolbar. Draft and Archived forms are unavailable to public visitors; Published forms can render and accept responses.

  • Select Save for an immediate manual save.
  • Unsaved changes autosave after a short pause.
  • Undo and Redo move through recent changes in the current browser session.
  • Closing or reloading a page with unsaved changes triggers a browser warning.
  • If another browser has saved the same form, Drecha Forms refuses to overwrite that newer revision and asks you to reload.

Use the desktop, tablet, and mobile buttons above the preview to inspect the layout at each supported width. These previews change the workspace size; always perform a final check on the actual WordPress page too.

Restore an earlier revision

Every successful save records the previous form version. Drecha Forms keeps up to 100 revisions per form.

  1. Select History in the builder toolbar.
  2. Review the numbered revisions and their UTC timestamps.
  3. Select Restore beside the version you need.
  4. Inspect the restored fields and settings.
  5. Select Save when the restored version is correct.

Duplicate or publish the form

Select Duplicate in the builder toolbar to save the current form and create a separate Draft named with “— Copy”. The copy receives its own form ID and can be edited without changing the original.

To publish:

  1. Complete the field and form settings.
  2. Preview desktop, tablet, and mobile layouts.
  3. Change Status to Published.
  4. Select Save.
  5. Embed the published form on a WordPress page.
  6. Submit one realistic test and verify it under Drecha Forms > Entries.

Free and Pro differences

Templates, the drag-and-drop builder, click-to-add fields, keyboard reordering, responsive preview, autosave, undo and redo, revisions, duplication, and publishing are all included in Drecha Forms Free. Pro is not required to create or publish a form. Disabling Pro does not remove Free forms or their stored entries.

Troubleshoot the builder

A form does not appear on the website

Confirm that its Status is Published and that the latest changes were saved. Draft and Archived forms intentionally do not render for public visitors.

Save says the form changed in another browser

Another tab or browser saved a newer revision. Copy any unsaved text you need, reload the builder, and apply the change to the latest version instead of forcing an overwrite.

A calculated field prevents saving after a field was deleted

Open the calculated field and remove or replace the deleted field key in its expression. Drecha Forms does not execute incomplete or circular calculations.

The mobile preview looks different from the theme page

The builder previews the form's responsive widths, but the active theme controls the surrounding page. Save the form and inspect the embedded version on the real page at the same screen width.
