Customer accounts are included in Free

Drecha Events & Bookings Free lets visitors book as guests or create a dedicated event customer account. An account is optional for booking. After verification, a customer can see matching bookings, update contact details, and cancel eligible reservations from the account page.

Activation creates or reuses an Events account page at the events-account slug. The page uses the Drecha customer account block and can also be rendered with the customer-account shortcode.

Register and verify an account

  1. Open the public Events account page.
  2. In Create an account, enter a name, email address, optional phone number, and a password of at least 10 characters.
  3. Submit the form and open the verification email.
  4. Use the verification link within 24 hours.
  5. Sign in with the WordPress login shown by the account flow.

The registration endpoint uses a hidden bot field and short request limits. Repeated failed attempts should be retried later rather than by rapidly resubmitting the form.

When verification succeeds, Drecha attaches earlier guest bookings made with the same normalized email address. It does not claim another user's bookings or records with a different email.

Use the customer dashboard

The verified dashboard shows contact details, upcoming bookings, and booking history. Customers can update their name and phone number. The account email is the identity used to match bookings and is not editable in this profile form.

A cancellation action appears only for a pending or confirmed booking that the core booking rules still allow the customer to cancel. When cancelled, reserved places are released. Appointment management links use their own secure token and may also be limited by an Events Pro cancellation deadline when that rule is configured.

Create or help a customer from WordPress

  1. Open Events > Customers.
  2. Enter the customer's name, email address, and optional phone number.
  3. Select Create customer and send invitations.
  4. Ask the customer to complete both the WordPress password setup and Drecha verification messages.
  5. If the account remains Pending, use Resend verification.

The administration list shows the 100 most recently registered event customers. It does not expose customer passwords.

Export or erase personal data

Drecha registers with WordPress's built-in privacy tools.

  1. Open Tools > Export Personal Data or Tools > Erase Personal Data.
  2. Enter the customer's account or booking email address.
  3. Send and complete the standard WordPress confirmation workflow.
  4. Download the export or review the erasure result.

The export includes the Drecha event customer profile and related booking data. The Drecha eraser removes customer-specific profile metadata and anonymizes matching booking and attendee identity fields. It does not delete the WordPress user account itself; account removal remains a separate WordPress administration decision.

Free and Pro differences

Registration, verification, guest-booking claims, the dashboard, profile updates, eligible cancellation, and WordPress privacy integration are Free. Pro can show eligible memberships and passes in the same customer experience and can add advanced appointment rescheduling. Losing Pro access does not remove the Free customer account or its booking history.

Troubleshooting

  • No verification email: use Resend verification, then follow the booking email troubleshooting guide and check the site's mail transport.
  • A guest booking is missing: confirm the verified account email exactly matches the guest booking email.
  • Cancellation is absent: the booking may already be cancelled, outside its allowed window, or owned by another account.
  • The account page is missing: add the Drecha customer account block to a published page and make that page available in site navigation.
