Publish before embedding
Only Published forms are available to public visitors. In the form builder, change Status to Published and select Save before adding the form to a page.
Both embedding methods use the same secure renderer and the same form ID. Editing and saving that form later updates every existing block or shortcode that references it.
Use the Gutenberg block
- Open the WordPress page or post where the form should appear.
- Select the block inserter.
- Search for Drecha Form.
- Add the block.
- Choose a published form from the Form selector in the block settings.
- Review the server-rendered preview.
- Publish or update the page.
- Open the public page in a private browser window and submit a test response.

The selector lists published forms only. The block does not copy the form schema into the page, so changing the selected form in the Drecha Forms builder updates the page automatically.

Use the shortcode
Use a shortcode when the editor or page builder supports WordPress shortcodes but not the Drecha Form block.
- Open Drecha Forms > Forms.
- Find the published form and note its numeric ID in the displayed shortcode.
- Add a Shortcode block or the page builder's shortcode element.
- Enter the shortcode exactly as shown, for example:
[drecha_form id="123"]
- Replace 123 with the actual form ID.
- Publish or update the page and test the public result.
Do not paste a form title or UUID into the id attribute. The shortcode expects the numeric form ID.
Verify the public form
- Open the page while signed out, or use a private browser window.
- Confirm that labels, required indicators, choices, and multi-column widths remain readable.
- Test keyboard navigation and any multi-step Next and Back controls.
- Submit invalid data once to inspect the error messages.
- Submit valid data and confirm the configured message or redirect.
- Open Drecha Forms > Entries and verify the stored response.
The plugin loads its public form assets only when a published Drecha form is actually rendered on the page.
Free and Pro differences
The Drecha Form Gutenberg block, [drecha_form] shortcode, responsive renderer, and unlimited embeds are included in Free. Pro integrations use the same published form and do not require a different embed code. If Pro is deactivated, the Free block and shortcode continue to work.
Troubleshoot embedding
The form is missing from the block selector
Open the form builder, set Status to Published, and save. Reload the page editor after publishing the form.
The public page is blank where the form should be
Check that the referenced form still exists and is Published. Administrators may see an explanatory notice for a missing or unpublished form, while public visitors receive no internal details.
The shortcode is displayed as text
Place it in a WordPress Shortcode block or a page-builder element that executes shortcodes. A Code or Preformatted block deliberately shows shortcode text instead of running it.
Changes do not appear on the page
Save the form first, then clear the page cache, object cache, or CDN cache used by the website. Confirm that the block or shortcode references the form you edited.
