Before you begin

Memberships and credit passes are Events Pro features. Keep Drecha Events & Bookings Free installed and active, activate a valid Pro trial or paid license, and create verified customer accounts before assigning entitlements.

These features control booking eligibility and usage; they do not collect payment. Sell or record payment through your chosen external process, then issue the membership or pass in WordPress.

Create and assign a membership

  1. Open Events > Memberships and select Plans.
  2. Create a plan with a name and default validity in days. Use zero when the assignment should have no default expiry.
  3. Choose Unlimited bookings, Limited per calendar week, or Limited per calendar month and enter the limit when required.
  4. Optionally restrict eligibility to specific events, event categories, or appointment services. Leaving every eligibility list empty permits all events and services.
  5. Choose whether ordinary cancellation, late cancellation, and no-show actions release or retain the allowance.
  6. Keep Plan can be assigned enabled and save the plan.

Weekly limits reset Monday at 00:00 and monthly limits reset on day 1 at 00:00 in the WordPress timezone.

Return to Customer memberships, choose a plan and registered customer, set the start date, and optionally set an expiry date. If expiry is blank, the plan default applies. Use Change state to make a membership active, suspended, or cancelled. Renew or extend it by a chosen number of days.

The History tab is append-only and records assignment, state changes, renewal, booking use, cancellation, and restoration. Corrections create later records instead of rewriting the audit trail.

Create and issue a credit pass

  1. Open Events > Credit passes and select Pass types.
  2. Enter a name, starting credit count, and validity in days. Zero means no expiry.
  3. Choose Deduct immediately or Reserve until attendance.
  4. Optionally restrict the pass to event categories or appointment services. With both lists empty, the pass is generally available across eligible bookings.
  5. Configure the late-cancellation threshold and whether late cancellations or no-shows return or forfeit credit.
  6. Keep the type available for new assignments and save it.

Under Customer passes, select a type and registered customer, then issue it. Alternatively, leave the customer unassigned and generate a one-time redemption code. Only share that code with its intended recipient.

Use Adjust with a required reason to correct a balance, or Renew or extend to add credits and days. The immutable Credit history records every change and never permits a negative balance.

How bookings use entitlements

A verified customer can select an eligible pass or membership during supported booking and waitlist flows. Eligibility, active dates, remaining allowance or credits, event or service restrictions, and status policies are validated again when the booking is committed. Simultaneous booking requests are protected against double use.

Membership versus pass priority is configurable from the Memberships > Booking priority tab. Review that setting before offering both entitlement types to the same customer.

Free and Pro boundaries

Customer accounts, guest bookings, appointment services, and ordinary event reservations remain Free. Creation, assignment, balance changes, membership lifecycle controls, and entitlement enforcement require active Pro access. If Pro becomes inactive, existing plans, passes, memberships, balances, history, and booking references stay stored and visible read-only. New Pro-only mutations wait until access is restored, after which reconciliation accounts for relevant booking-status changes made during the inactive period.

Troubleshooting

  • A customer is absent: verify the dedicated event customer account first.
  • A plan or type is unavailable: confirm it is active and available for assignment.
  • A booking rejects an entitlement: check dates, eligibility lists, status, limits or balance, and cancellation/no-show history.
  • A balance looks wrong: use Credit history and add a reasoned adjustment; do not try to edit historical rows.
