Short answer

Drecha Events & Bookings Free runs a complete one-time event and appointment operation without a Drecha account or license. Pro is for recurring schedules and advanced entitlement, allocation, automation, transfer, and reporting workflows.

Both editions use the same event, customer, appointment, and booking records. Pro is a separate add-on that requires Free; it does not replace the Free plugin.

What can I do with Free?

Free includes:

  • Unlimited one-time Events, Classes, and Sessions.
  • Appointment services with durations, weekly hours, unavailable dates, generated public slots, manual appointments, and secure cancellation.
  • Guest and verified-customer reservations with limited or unlimited event capacity.
  • Booking management, walk-ins, attendance, no-show handling, customer profiles, and the Daily Agenda.
  • Customer registration, verification, account dashboard, booking history, and eligible cancellation.
  • Basic booking and attendance reports.
  • Responsive calendars, Gutenberg blocks, shortcodes, categories, locations, teachers, and hosts.
  • WordPress privacy export and erasure integration.

Free does not process payments. Capacity, bookings, customer records, and appointments are stored on the WordPress website.

When do I need Pro?

Choose Pro when you need one or more of these implemented features:

  • Daily, weekly, or monthly recurring event schedules, skipped dates, and moved occurrences.
  • Pro custom fields, styling controls, and versioned JSON or ZIP transfer.
  • Multiple staff and resources, individual calendars, buffers, booking windows, and advanced exceptions.
  • Memberships, credit passes, and class packages without built-in payment processing.
  • Waitlists and bounded background automation.
  • Advanced reports, dashboard widgets, and CSV export.

The Events Pro license is a one-time lifetime-use license for one production website. Check the live product checkout for its current price; the repository does not define a durable public Events price that this FAQ should hard-code.

What happens if Pro becomes inactive?

Free one-time events, appointment services, bookings, customer accounts, and reports remain available. Pro data is retained. Existing recurring activities remain readable, but Free deliberately prevents editing a recurring record with its one-time editor because that could overwrite recurrence settings.

Membership, pass, waitlist, automation, and advanced allocation records remain stored. New Pro-only changes wait until valid Pro access returns.
