Google Calendar and iCal Event Sharing

Configure, verify, and operate Google Calendar and iCal Event Sharing in the official Drecha plugin manual.

What this feature does

Help visitors take event dates with them through Google Calendar links and an iCal subscription feed.

Key capabilities

  • One-click Google Calendar links
  • iCal subscription feed
  • Event detail pages with linked category pills
  • No separate calendar service required

Configure Google Calendar and iCal Event Sharing

  1. Publish the event. Create or update the event so its public date and time are available.
  2. Open the public detail page. Visit the event from the calendar or its individual URL.
  3. Use Google Calendar. Choose the Google Calendar link to create a prefilled calendar item.
  4. Subscribe and verify. Use the iCal feed in a compatible calendar, then confirm the imported timezone and venue details.

Verify the result

Open the relevant public page in a private browser window and complete the workflow once. Confirm the saved result in WordPress, test keyboard navigation, and repeat the critical path at a mobile width before sharing it with customers.
