Requirements

Check the verified WordPress, PHP, permissions, mail, and backup requirements before installation.

Minimum software

Both current Events packages declare these minimum versions:
Requirement Minimum
WordPress 6.2
PHP 8.0
Use HTTPS on every public booking page. The site also needs a writable WordPress database, the ability to install plugins, and working scheduled tasks for delayed notifications and automation.

Prepare the site

  1. Back up the database and wp-content before replacing an existing edition.
  2. Confirm the WordPress timezone under Settings → General; public times are displayed in that timezone while appointment allocation is stored safely in UTC.
  3. Confirm that the administrator can install plugins and that event managers have only the capabilities they need.
  4. Configure one established SMTP or transactional-mail plugin if the site must send confirmations, verification links, reminders, or waitlist offers.
  5. Test on staging when changing editions or upgrading a busy booking site.
